Generic Terms & Conditions for all YOUTH ’08 Competitions
General Competition Rules:
These are the competition rules that govern the relationship between you and YouthMalaysia.com when you enter one of our competitions.
The competition rules below are generic to all our online and on ground competitions. When entering a specific competition, you should follow the links on the relevant page of the website to the individual rules for that particular competition.
Competitions are open to all Malaysian citizens and residents only.
Definitions:
“Competition” means any of our online and/or on ground competitions;
“we”, “us”,”our” means YouthMalaysia.com, 9-3, Subang Business Centre, Jalan USJ 9/5Q,47620 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia;
and “website” means the YouthMalaysia.com websites situated at http://www.youthmalaysia.com
- By participating in any of our Competitions entrants agree to be bound by these rules (which may be amended or varied at any time by us) and by our decisions which are final in all matters relating to the Competition.
- All prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered for non cash prizes. Arrangements for the fulfillment of prizes will be made by us. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to substitute any and all prizes with prizes of comparable value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer, producer or supplier.
- In order to be eligible for prizes, the winner(s) must complete the competition entry form(s) fully and comply with all Rules and Regulations and/or Terms and Conditions. The winner(s) (and guest if applicable) must also agree to:
- sign an affidavit of eligibility if required;
- release us from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft, or loss suffered in connection with the Competition or the use or acceptance of the prizes or any portion thereof save where due to our negligence; and
- sign a promotional release granting us the right to use your name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation. Entry into the Competition constitutes the winner(s) agreement to sign such releases.
- The winner(s) (and guest if applicable) must complete all legal documents and return them to us within (5) five working days of receipt from us (if applicable). Non-compliance will result in disqualification of the winner(s) and an alternative winner will be selected.
- YouthMalaysia.com, Expomal International Sdn Bhd, affiliated companies and any and all sponsors are not responsible for any damage, claims or costs, however incurred, arising from the promotion, or from the failure of the entrant to follow the instructions and/or guidelines set out.
- The receipt, by any winner, of any of the prizes components of the Competition is conditional upon compliance with any and all laws, rules and regulations. The winner(s) are solely responsible for all insurance, applicable taxes and for any expenses not specified in the prize description.
- Where the prizes involve the winner(s) travelling, the winner(s) (and guest if applicable) shall be required to hold a valid passport and/or other necessary travel documentation and visas. Where prize involves travel on a date to be chosen by the winner(s), the date chosen is subject to availability and we reserve the right to include a long stop date by which the prize must be taken.
- We reserve the right to implement age requirements where necessary. Entrants 17 years or under must obtain consent from their parent or guardian prior to entering the Competition. Competitions are not open to employees and their immediate families of YouthMalaysia.com, Expomal International Sdn Bhd, affiliated companies and any and all sponsors.
- By entering the Competition, all entrants assign all rights, title and interest in all creative material uploaded onto the website and/or emailed.
- The winner(s) will be notified by email and telephone as soon as possible after the Competition draws.
- The winner(s) agree that YouthMalaysia.com, Expomal International Sdn Bhd, their affiliates, related companies and employees, and any sponsors shall have no liability in connection with acceptance of use of any of the prizes awarded herein. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner at our absolute discretion.
- Any personal information, including, without limitation, the entrant’s name, age, address (including postcode), telephone number and/or email address which is obtained by us by virtue of entrants entering the Competition may, with the entrant’s consent, be used by us or disclosed to a third parties for certain marketing, market research, analysis and related purposes, please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details on the use of such personal information and you right to remove your personal information from our database.
- YouthMalaysia.com reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time, if deemed necessary in it’s opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
